...about marketing and social hot spots with Jocelyn J. Kopac Karina Talks Too Much

Here are a few of Jocelyn’s top tips:

  • on repurposing content

    • if you have a blog, piece one post down into 2 or 3 Instagram posts.

    • If filming lives, be sure to use proper camera orientation. Upright FB Live’s won’t format nicely in YouTube.

  • on which social hot spot you should be hanging out at

    • ask yourself: ‘Who do you want to buy from you?’ ‘how much money are you looking for your client to spend with you?’ etc.

    • if you’re just starting out in business, Facebook is a very friendly platform; you’re already on it so you know how to use it (mostly); Pinterest as soon as your business is up and going because it drives organic traffic to you website, which means you don’t have to pay for it! Youtube & Instagram tie for third, stick to Youtube if you enjoy creating video content and don’t get scared at the idea of it. YouTube acts as a search engine so allows you to rank quickly; Head to Instagram if you express yourself better in words. Instagrams algorithm favours posts between 200-300 words long to keep customers on the platform longer. Create mini-blogs for your instagram to see organic growth and get the algorithm working for you.

  • overall tips on just starting out

    • don’t spend money on things you don’t need to spend money on in the beginning (such as paid advertisements, utilize sites like Pinterest instead)
