...about vulnerability with Bonnie Nicole
Meet Bonnie
I know I say this a lot, but I’m really excited for you to meet my next podcast guest, Bonnie! We met about five years ago when she was a contestant in a makeover challenge I was working with. I was a sponsor within the 3-month event and provided social media tips and strategies to help the women win the top spot of the challenge. Bonnie and I have kept touch over the years and I love spending time together whenever we can fit it in. In this case, it was a recording for the podcast ;)
Officially Bonnie Nicole, aka Bonnie Badass, grew up in the Fraser Valley. Faced with being sexually and physically abused at a young age, she struggled with shame. She battled addictions, depression and domestic violence and resilient is just one of the things she is today.
Currently, Bonnie is the reigning Mrs. Charity BC and Mrs. Lower Mainland and she helps others by sharing her story on how being vulnerable and unashamed of her story has let her finally live a life worth living.
I’m psyched to bring her genuine badassery to you but do want to preface that due to the sensitive nature of the topics discussed, this episode could be triggering to some.
If you or someone you know is struggling with any kind of abuse, please know there are resources available to you. Here is a worldwide list of domestic hotline numbers you can call for advice or support if you need it.
Being vulnerable is like crossing a bridge to connection with others, and I hope you feel empowered to be vulnerable after listening!
